On Friday, June 24th, I was craving a date night, but it just wasn't happening. So I fixed up a picnic dinner & we went on a family date. We ate chicken cashew salad, strawberries, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, carrots & crackers. We picked a non-shady part of grass at Hendricks Park & enjoyed the early summer weather.
After dinner, we walked around to check out the pretty park. The kids were a little disappointed that this was a park without a playground. I *totally* remember that feeling! :P

After the park, we went to a frozen yogurt place & the kids got to pick their own flavors & candy toppings!

We all had a very nice time on our family date. Doesn't quite make up for a date night, but it was a lot of fun!
