family photo shoot trade

We met up with the Sharpton family at Hobbit Beach/Washburne State Park, to trade family photo shoots. Lauren (of Freckles Photography) was about a month away from her due date with baby #2 & needed to get that sweet belly documented. And I definitely need to get in front of the camera more often, so it was a perfect trade. We decided we should do it every year! It was our turn to be photographed first, since we had more squirmy kids to keep happy. :P

I am so in love with these photos. What a blessing to have such a great photographer as a friend. :)

A couple candids while we switched roles...

My turn to be the photographer!

I took soooo many photos & these were some of my favorites. What a relief to get a few back that worked! It's always a little nerve wracking for me to do portraits for other people. When I photograph my own kids, they don't care much. But I was happy to capture some sweet moments with these lovely friends. Can't wait to meet their little baby boy!

mama-made quilts

Last year, I decided to make twin sized quilts for all three of my children for their next birthdays. I love the idea of them sleeping snugly under mama-made quilts. Now that I finished the final quilt for Cedar, I made the kids pose for a photo shoot. :) They were due for some portraits anyway!

Finley Stoerman - almost 8 1/2!

Cedar Tenhunen - almost 6!

Elsa Roedel - 20 months!

Three sweet Henry kids.

grassy photo shoot

After Cedar's Spring Sing performance, I took advantage of the nice light & warm weather to get some photos of our sweet kids.  I love that Elsa can sit up now!  It makes for such better photos.  ;)

This boy loves this girl SO. MUCH.

I think I'm going to print these photos for him to have.  She loves him too, clearly.  :)

 Our almost 5 year old!

Kinda blurry, but he looks so grown up to me.  Bittersweet.  :\

A different look from Finn.  Those new teeth are really changing his smile!

I'll take what I can get!

 My favorite.
I'm ordering this print to go on the wall next to her brothers' school portraits.

We sure love your hair, sweet E.

Feeling grass is a new experience, now that the ground is drying up a bit.

More fun with her biggest brother!

Love them.
