thanksgiving 2015

We celebrated Thanksgiving day at Kenton's parent's house and my parents joined us. It was delicious and I didn't take enough photos, of course. Then we celebrated Thanksgiving with my family on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Erik and his girlfriend, Annie, came down from Seattle and Aaron's sister, Amy, joined us along with her family. A fun full day!

funny family photo shoot

This series of photos cracks me up. I wanted to get a quick family photo for our Christmas card, since we were all dressed nicely for Thanksgiving. I set up the tripod and did my best to make it quick. I cannot be held responsible for the silly kids that made me take "just one more" over and over and over again. But I had someone comment on how photogenic we all were, so I thought it might be funny to share a few outtakes. :)

Test shot, but cute Elsa.

 Sweet boys.

Not bad, but Cedar has a leaf in his mouth.

 Come on, Cedar...

 Cedar!

 Elsa!

 Kids!

Trying a different arrangement but now I look out of place.

I said "Stand up" to Elsa and both boys shot straight up...probably the only time they've ever listened the first time. :\

 We're losing Cedar again!

 Whoops, cut my head off!

Good enough! We'll take it. :)

williams' vow renewal

On November 21st, Carolyn and Jesse celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony. It was my first time attending a vow renewal and it was quite lovely. We were honored to attend and Kenton even got to read a passage like he did at their wedding 10 years ago. They asked me to design a label for the beer they brewed for the reception afterward. It was a lot of fun and I think it turned out great. :) Such a fun party!

Elsa & Harriet, hand in hand

Cohen's 10th birthday: a party at National Academy of Artistic Gymnastics. It was a wild fun time and Cedar nearly lost a fingernail, but much fun was had! ;) He did lose the nail a couple weeks later, but it was not a big deal. :P The kids had tons of fun, as expected. Such a cool space to play! Happy birthday, Cohen!

finley is 9!

November 6th. Finley turned nine. I've been a mama for 9 years?! Craziness. ;)

Rock tumbler!!  Whoop whoop! This kid knows how to have a good time. :P

We celebrated with Kenton's parents later that evening.

 Silly girl.

He's got some great expressions. :P

 Skyping with Nanalee.

We opted for a small sleep over in lieu of a big party for Finley this year. He had no hesitation about this choice and was super excited to have his cousins Griffin and Cohen over. We watched Jurassic World and ate junk food. Cohen opted to go home before bed time, but Griffin slept over and the boys all slept really well. It was a really fun ninth birthday.
