first hike, spencer butte

 We've been itching to get out and hike but have had such rainy and cooooold weather lately. But yesterday, the sun was out and the sky was clear! It was still quite cold, but we bundled up and took Kenton's mom to Spencer Butte for her first time. Kenton and I also got to break in new hiking shoes that we bought with Christmas gift cards from Nanalee. :) It was the perfect day for a hike, and since it was Saturday, the butte was very crowded. Great minds think alike, I guess. ;)

get air

 My parents gifted their daughter's families with a family pass to the local trampoline park, Get Air. We all planned to go together while Erik was still in town. We ended up there at the same time as our friend, Carolyn and her daughters! So fun! Charis joined in too! :)

We picked out our tree from Campbell's tree farm. The last time we went there, we had tons of snow and freezing temperatures. It wasn't quite as festive looking outside, but we found lots of options. We ended up with what we think was a Norway Spruce. One of the prettiest trees we've had, but suuuuuper pokey. Ouch! ;)

apple daze

 Our tradition of visiting Detering Orchard's for their Apple Daze event dates back to 2008, when Carolyn & Jesse invited us to join them. Our group has grown since then & we've added 5 more kids to the mix! We love this tradition & will keep it up for as long as possible. The Gosses planned to spend a couple nights at the Williams' house, so we could visit the farm & attend our church's annual Barn Party. We made the best of our weekend together & got together on Friday night too (without kids) for a pumpkin beer tasting party. We miss seeing the Gosses more regularly, but it was super fun to have them in town for the weekend.
