papa's 60th birthday party

My Dad was planning to celebrate his 60th birthday in Souther California, with his 90 year old Mom, so we partied a little early this year!

Retelling the story of the day he was born.  ;)

Our family went in on a cool, new camera for the Birthday Papa!

 The audience.

 Playing on phones.

We missed Erik this time, but had a nice time celebrating our Dad!
Happy 60th birthday, Papa!

apple dayz

 Hello, October!

Each weekend in October, Detering orchard hosts their Apple Dayz celebration.

Free cider, apple crisp, wagon rides, & pumpkins for the kids.

We've made it a tradition to go with the Williamses for the past few years.

This was Alma's first time to Apple Dayz!

 Posing for Mama

Silly faces are sometimes the only way to convince the kids to give real smiles to the camera next.  ;)

Riding through the orchard.

 Sweet family.

One more self portrait, for good measure.  ;)

buena vista jog-a-thon

I got to cheer on Finn's kindergarten class during their jog-a-thon!

Finn's goal was to run 10 laps, or more!

Griffin was motivated to run all 10 laps too!  That's the max they can get pledges for.  ;)

 Marking down his lap!

 He'd already shed a layer.

Almost done!

 Griffin at the finish line.

Proud of you, Finn!

sunset & cousins

An evening trip to the playground by my parent's house.

The kids loved being there as the sun set.

Pretty sky!

Busy boys.

Our Portland cousins, Kara & Summer, were down for the weekend.

Meeting new baby, Megan.

Brooke & Dan taught my Dad a new song by the Lumineers.

Watching the performance.

Kind of a random selection of photos from that visit, but if I'm ever gonna catch up on this blog, that's how it's going to be!  ;)

photo dump: soccer 2012

Finley had his first experience with playing soccer & actually competing against other teams.

He had a great coach & fun team mates, which made all the difference for him.

 Half time snack!

 His adoring fans.

 Alma's clapping!

 Go Finn!

Playing on the same team as Griffin!

 Finley loves Alma!

Words of encouragement from Coach Kelly.

 Most of his teammates.

 Yawn.

 Snack time favorite: oranges!

A few portraits by Mama: Cedar boy!

 So cute.

It's hard work, posing these boys.

 Big boy Finn!

 Love this one!

Woo hoo!  We made it to the end of the season!

Finley got a medal for completing Fall Soccer.  Nice work, Finn!  We're proud of you!
