On Tuesday, May 12th, our friends (Kris, Samantha & their daughter Charis) flew into Portland from Austin, Texas. We borrowed Kenton's grandparent's van & drove up to pick them up.
When I was in college, I lived with Kris & Sam for a year before Kenton & I got married. They moved to Texas after we got married (almost 7 years ago) & we've been pretty good about taking turns visiting each other about once a year. The last time we saw them was last Spring; Finn was about 17 months & Charis was a little over 2. The last time the Elkinton's visited us was when Finn was a newborn & Charis was 10 months. So the kids are always so different every time we see each other & it's so fun to get to know them all over again. :)

We took advantage of our awesome double stroller to take a walk to the park nearby.
Charis & Finn are almost exactly the same size...& both can play really well together. They've also had their fair share of arguments, but overall are having a great time.
It's been so great to have a playmate!
