We took the Elkintons to a restaurant we'd been wanting to check out called
Off The Waffle.

Turns out, it was very different than we expected. They make authentic Belgian waffles that are very delicious. But it isn't a sit-down sort of restaurant & there aren't a lot of waffle flavors to choose from. Also, they're made fresh & take a bit of time...hence the frowny faces above. And the owners didn't have the best customer service skills...not to be picky, just explaining why it was different than expected. :)

But man, they were good! Served fresh in a pastry bag, no forks or knives necessary. Next time, we'll plan on taking our waffles to go...& not going for dinner, cause one waffle really isn't enough food for a whole meal. Definitely worth checking it out, especially if you're more prepared than we were for the awkward experience. :P Hopefully my explanation will be helpful & more people can enjoy the tasty treats - their original waffle is only $3! What a deal!
