weekend recap

One of the only pictures (on my camera) from our Friday night surprise. :) We're so glad to have Carolyn & Jesse back in town!

On Saturday, one of that parents from the afternoon class hosted a teacher appreciation barbeque. Tamy, Jacque, Angie & I were able to attend. We enjoyed the yummy food that everyone contributed as well as the fun gift baskets we received. Such a great event - we all felt very honored!

On Sunday, our little family went for a bike ride. We were trying to find the bike trail that goes out towards Veneta & the Fern Ridge Reservoir. We took the long way & by the time we found it, Finn was pretty warm & unhappy. So we stopped for snacks & water.

Ha! We tried to take a family photo by propping the camera on the back of Kenton's bike. Sorry Finn! Just after we took the picture, we were met by some surprise visitors:

Kenton's parents just happen to be riding by at the exact same time on the exact same trail. This was their first time riding bikes around Eugene & only our 2nd time riding bikes as a family. We were so amazed that we ran into each other. They were a pretty long way away from home - crazy!

Finn was sad to say bye to them, but he did great. We ended up turning around & stopping to buy groceries on the way home. We're loving our bike trailer - it carries a boy, 2 big bags of groceries, saves gas money & gives us a work out all at the same time! Now if only we could have some more of that nice sunny weather, we'd have no excuse to ride all the time. :)
