april randomness

We hosted our Bible Study group & I was having fun holding baby Bridget & getting some sweet smiles.  So we went outside for better lighting & Amy took some photos of the sweet girl.

We were looking good together in our coordinating yellows.  :P

 So pretty.

 Proud Mamas.
Bridget & Katie, Stephanie & Matthew.

Gotta get some smiles from Matthew too!

Finley all dressed up for Wacky Wednesday at preschool.  He was brave & wanted to wear underwear on his head.  I think he got a little more shy once he got there, but he did wear them for a bit.

 Before haircuts.

 Before.

 After!
(Ready for his 3rd birthday!)

After!

baseball & a birthday party

Cohen & Griffin had a little league game on Monday, April 23rd, so we gathered to cheer them on before going to my parent's house to celebrate Aaron's birthday.

Griffin was playing catcher.

I missed getting a photo of Cohen playing because we could hear thunder in the distance, causing an instant cancellation on the game.

Uncle Aaron certainly has a way with the little ones!  :)

We certainly were not in any immediate danger (& the thunder storm never did pass over us), so we took our time before walking to Memaw & Papa's house.

Tate was pretty proud of himself!

 Cohen & Griffin: Teammates!

 Piling down the slide!

We all enjoyed a pizza dinner.

 Kids eat outside!

 Ronan & Tyler

 Almost present time!

 Cool kids.

Cedar wanted in one the action!

 Not done yet!

Surrounded by family.  Aaron's mom & dad, aunt & grandpa were there to celebrate with us too!

 A new game from us.

Moments before Aaron blew melted candle wax all over Becca!  :P

 Yummy ice cream cake.

The sky was pretty that night...even though we missed out on the predicted storm.

Such a pretty view.

women's retreat

On the weekend of April 20-22, a large group of women from our church retreated to Grove Christian Camp for the annual Women's Retreat.  I stayed in a cabin with my sisters & many of the ladies from the Moms of Grace Group at church.

Gretchen helped Kelly clear her bed of suspicious looking "dirt".  :P

 Our cabin
Gretchen, Darcy, Sidney, Jenn, Amy, Jill, Becca, Kelly, Brittany (I think?! I just met her & I think her name started with a "B"), & me.  :P

 Gretchen & Jill
I was one of the "official" photographers for the retreat & took almost 200 photos that weekend...which is partially to blame for why I took so long to blog this weekend.  I was a little intimidated by the idea of sorting through which photos I wanted to post.  :\

 Me & my mentor, Mary.

Some brave mamas brought their small babies!
Stephanie (with Matthew), Michelle (with Carson) & Katie (with Bridget)

We have some very funny ladies who perform very funny skits at these retreats.

Kelly did a beautiful job speaking in front of so many women!

We made washer necklaces during free time on Saturday & Becca was able to help a lot of us, since she's a pro!  :)

We also did Zumba on Saturday & then went for a walk to the covered bridge.

 Stephanie & Matthew

Looking good in our exercise clothes!

 Cheryl & Lindsey

On Saturday night, we had some free time to eat dessert & play games.

 We played Catch Phrase.

grace community preschool spring sing

On Tuesday, April 10th, Finley's preschool put on their annual Spring Sing.

It is so amazing to see the different between the three classes/age groups (ages 3, 4, & 5).
The 5 year olds seemed so big & Finley was very clearly the tallest in his class!

Xavier, Cousin Griffin, Tayden, Gaby, Hailey

Tayden, Gaby, Hailey, Finn, Ethan, Victoria, Macy & Bailey.
These kids did such a great job.  So great to hear them singing out!

 Finley's wonderful teacher, Miss Janelle.

And of course, Finley had a fan club!
Jesse, Finley, Carolyn, Mama & Alma

Jacque (Stu was there too!), Cedar & Dad.
We also had all of our families in attendance!  What a loved boy.  :)  Cedar will be attending GCP in the fall & we can't wait to see him up on stage next year!
