tie-dye greeting

On Saturday, June 6th, Kenton's Aunt Lindy & cousins Isaac & Genevieve flew into the Eugene airport for a visit. Kenton's mom had the idea of everyone wearing tie-dyed t-shirts when we greeted them at the airport...however, nobody in the Henry family actually owns any tie-dye (except for me, but I wasn't sure where mine was), so new shirts were in order for everyone! :P

Cedar's shirt was made especially for him by my mom. :)

We had a huge group gathered to welcome Lindy & the kids. Since Kenton's parents & grandparents live in town & everyone else is spread around, several of Kevin's siblings planned to visit at the same time so that they could see each other too. So our group included Kevin, Outi, Brian, Kenton, me, Finn, Cedar, Marylee, Lew, Jennifer & Bill (Kevin's sister, from Nevada), Sharon (Kevin's sister, from Utah), & Nathan (Kevin's brother/Lindy's husband, from Fairbanks). We only made a little bit of a scene. :) I'll have to get the group photo from Outi & post it later.

Later that day...

Kenton found a garter snake while mowing the lawn. He was brave enough to pick it up & put it in a jar for Finn to see once he woke up from his nap.

We were both very surprised at Finn's willingness to hold the snake. Kenton didn't let go of the snake because we didn't want Finn to accidentally drop it & let it loose in the house! But even Kenton was feeling a little squeemish about holding the snake for too long. :)

It looks like the snake is looking at the camera. :)

Eek! I think he was blowing on the snake, not kissing it...I hope. :\

Checking it out with his magnifying glass.

Very cute! Finn with the snake that is. Also, I love the photo of you with Cedar at the airport. He looks so happy, and aware of what's going on. ---Mummi
